Today after the school drop off for Master H, I had made it to the shops where I had 15 mins to try and catch the bank and get back to the car before rushing to the kids music lessons. Now you must understand mornings are never good for me, after rushing to try to get 3 kids and myself fed, cleaned, pressed, dressed, packed and in the car I have that manic, crazy woman look going on and am slightly out of sorts (massive understatement). So there I am trying to shove Baby X in the pram while he is doing the stiff body "your not strapping me into that pram again" routine, reading Master Z the riot act about what does and does not constitute acceptable behaviour in the bank. When a "lovely lady" (I use the term loosely), in a car not 2 metres away from me and my young children, starts screaming obscenities out her window at another car that is currently trying to park. I don't know what caused the incident, but I'm assuming it wasn't a pilfered car park since at 9am finding a space was not an issue. She then deafens us all with excessive use of her horn and then zooms off leaving everyone in her path fearing for their lives.
So now my nerves are shot, my ears are ringing and I'm trying to explain to Master Z exactly why the scary lady screaming "effing b" is not an appropriate news topic to share with his friends at music class. To make matters worse the bank wasn't open and by the time I got us all back in the car we were late for music!
So it has reminded me that no matter how good the reasoning seems at the time, throwing a 2 year old tantrum at a stranger, out your car window, just makes you look like a screaming, scary nutbag! Keep it in people. Take a deep breath and keep it in!! And if you really need to vent have a whine on Facebook! It's much cheaper then therapy! It's what I'd do!
